Giving it a... uhmmm.... 3 stars I think. Am kinda confused how I should rate this one. Not tat I dislike it. But I don't exactly find it memorable. That's where the problem is for me. I need the images to burn itself into my mind and not leave me anytime soon for it to make it into my 4 to 5 stars rating. It does have some hardcore BDSM to satisfy those who craves it. Like the fisting of a virgin ass (left my jaw hanging as my brain was too busy debating whether that is even a possible feat), piercing, pissing, enema, branding, canning and such.Tried as I might to treat this book as a fantasy only hence there is the wide leeway of anything is possible. Therefore, I did kept reminding myself to maintain an open mindset when I am reading it (as per the advice of other readers based on their reviews). Anyhow, I still couldn't get pass the niggling aspect where the protagonist, Danny had suddenly shift into submissive slutty mode although he is supposed to be straight and very innocent to all these extreme D/S stuff being forced upon him. Lol, I even thought I missed something along the way. Why is he being so pliable and accepting all out of a sudden? Shouldn't he even try to question himself a little? Even a closeted gay would have questions. Then again, maybe Danny's little head has more dominant control over him OR... because this is supposed to be a novella hence once again there's the famous race-against-time factor here? If you could overlook the bit of OOC-ness here, it's all pretty entertaining in a way. I quite like it and don't hate it since I did gave it a 3 stars. Another thing is that if you are looking for a good healthy dose of angst, I don't think you could find it here.
