- Slow burn romance: Sweet and fun slow burn romance started when the younger lad was only 5 years old when he met the love of his life who is 15 at that time.

- Mpreg: This author is pretty fond of having the older guy bottoming and getting knock up. She is also having a blast subjecting the pregnant male through many childbirth mostly in dire situations and having them suffer many kinds of pregnancy ailments. Wonderful ain't it? I am loving it so much!

I know I was super spooked by Book #2 but I had to go on with Book #3 all because I am a freaking MOTH! I know it burns. I just couldn't look away! Argh!

This is a review of all three volumes in this series.

I did enjoyed this series very much but personally wise it is not exactly 4 stars material. For me it is somewhere around 3.5 stars. Perhaps it is because of my pet peeve with the uke topping the seme or smaller sex partner as the top. Apart from that, said uke is androgynous. Uh uh, no can do. I suppose it's my kink with built size difference, I get more turned on with large guys topping small delicate guys and not the other way round. Also I prefer manly guys as top. Oddly I am rather okay with 'reversible couple' when they don't have much size difference from each other.

Although I did say that the uke is androgynous, he is utterly manly inside since his physical weak body does not originally belongs to him. Yup, it's a body-swap story. The protagonist is from the future before he gets swapped into this new body who resides in an alternate world that resembles Chinese archaic period. A man from our time in an out of date world could archived alot with his modern knowledge and experience. This AU world has three genders; male, female and the male hermaphrodites that could breed like females. These intersex people could choose their permanent gender once they come of age. Naturally males carries more authorities and next is the hermaphrodites who choose to live as male. Those hermaphrodites who choose to be female would still rank before the biological females in their unique hierarchy system and will have better social standing them although their lifestyles aren't that different from each other.

I did appreciate the twist and turns of the story and was quite engrossed with it. What I like most is the daring pregnancy and birth scenes, it is totally on page. No cheating with the arse-babies, literal! There is also multiple pregnancies and birth scenes to content with. Absolutely Mpreg-Fan's heaven!

This is a 3-in-1 novel. Book One is pretty exciting and engaging although even then I did find the story somewhat predictable. Book Two onward was quite a train-wreck. To be fair, it does have an actual storyline and some meat to chew on. If only the plot is more stable and realistic to human nature.

For me, the biggest plop would be the overly drawn-out sex scenes which involves whole lot of telling and telling and more telling. On top of that the sex scenes are way to annoyingly repetitive. I am very much aware that this is an erotica but I want to feel the sex not listen to it.

The story did have potential to be an interesting shifters mpreg romance. Too bad it was drown by excessive nonessential sex scenes. You know, there are many ways of showing readers the passion, love and adoration the couple has for each other other than having mindless sex.

Needless to say it is a definite zero for character building and also I did not feel the chemistry between the lovers. That 3 stars is in view of the rather refreshing mpreg shifters concept on mating and pregnancy. It is also for the fact that I did really enjoyed Book One.

... finally a tentacles sex manga that almost has all the required sexual tentacles actions I ever wished for in this genre.

Around 2.5 stars borderline 3 stars. Not very satisfied with they way it ended. Felt unfinished. The whole book is overdosed with misunderstandings and conflicts due to both parties suffering from overly low confidence. They are both are just too passive to find love and secure happiness in their life.

This book is rather peculiar. So many twisted individuals in the story. A very messed up family and a stranger got killed in their twisted pursuit of forbidden romances and distorted perception on love.

The story started with a corpse found in the home of a wealthy family during a new year reunion dinner. The mysterious deceased man is a very handsome male and he was found with multiple injuries, drug overdosage and also exposure to poison. Everyone declared not knowing who the dead guy is despite no sign of break-ins found within the surrounding.

On the day of the crime, there are four siblings and their mother in that house with a young butler. It is routine for them to gather especially during festive seasons. The second sister is in love with her third brother who is also her twin. But the third brother is in love with his eldest brother. Lastly the fourth brother, the youngest in the family is in turn in love with his second sister. What a fine mess and great recipe for disaster which did end with someone's death. I guess their desires for each other runs too deep and they could no longer hold back hence the eruption and the tragedy.

Actually I am not sure what and how I felt about this book. The story is odd but I am not saying it is a bad thing. Just that what happened especially at the end of the book.. like that weird cat and that uhmmm non-organic talking matter is just too way out of this world for me to fully take in. Despite that in view of the title of this book, perhaps the author just wanted to depict a dreamscape world to blur the line between reality and dream. Overall I did find the book pretty entertaining in an unusual way.

This one is around 3.5 stars or so.

Finished in record time. It is entertaining and fun to read. But it wasn't as intense and evocative as the first book, Long Way Home (歸途) in the Round Trip (雙程系列) series.

Older guy as the bottom is not exactly my cup of tea but I am surprised it could secure my attention so well and I did enjoyed reading it. The age gap here is very wide. They are 18 years apart in age and that older guy is highly-sexed and favors younger men. Sexually he is originally a top who does not bottom at all until he met and fell in love with a handsome young man. It just happened that that young man is rather dominant when it comes to sex. Therefore that older guy had to compromise or not get to touch or see him at all. He gave in rather reluctantly and they would wrestle each other for the top position whenever they have sex.

I think I know why I am so engrossed with this author's work. Her characters are imperfect human beings with benign desires as well as dark intentions. This gave a sense of realness to her characters and they world he/she had created.

This story is supposed to be book 3 in the series. I have unintentionally skipped book 2 not knowing the correct sequence of this series until much later. Therefore I am going to be reading book 2 shortly after I have watched the film adaptation of it. I have a feeling book 2 is just as engrossing and intense as book 1.

Makes me laugh, cry, angry and sad over and over again but also tremendously touched from time to time. Most of the story is pretty realistic, too realistic that it pains my heart. Yet there are some parts that is rather hard to believe and somewhat unrealistic. Overall I have enjoyed the story and it successfully made it on my hard-to-forget-story list.

The story consist of the love life two loving brothers with their respective lovers. Both of them aren't gay from the start but fell in love with two men with entirely different personality who had contrasting views towards love. The eldest brother's lover is possessive, dominant, abusive, selfish and excessively obsessive. His rough treatment of his lover scares me sometimes. To me, he is like borderline psychotic. The second brother's lover is such a darling. Total opposite from that brute. He is charming, loving, understanding, generous, faithful and supportive.

The eldest brother is quite a doormat. He's soft spoken, considerate, self-sacrificial, filial, loving and caring. His meekness makes him a prime victim for abuse. Therefore pairing him with that total brute is asking for trouble. Hence their love life is filled with pain and tragedy, one after another. All thanks to that abusive jerk he loves so much.

The younger brother is very different from his older sibling. He is firm, assertive, carefree, with a vibrant personality. He totally dominates his boyfriend. It's rather cute seeing how his boyfriend rolls over to cater for his every needs. Sexually, he is the bottom in their relationship but totally top his boyfriend otherwise.

Truthfully I have enjoyed reading both romances but I did like the first story which is of the eldest brother with his brutish boyfriend more than the second story. Perhaps it is much more intense and soul stirring.

I found that the novel is not as cliche as the film-adaptation. Not that I disliked the film though cos I did liked it well enough to want to read the novel after it. Although I did bemoan of that unsatisfactory ending. That's why I am very glad I decided to read the novel because it had a way better ending and closure than the film. I need better closure especially if the story is one filled with tragedies.

I have read the Chinese version of this novel but if you are interested you could try the fan-translation in English over here. I am not sure if the translation did any justice to the story so read at your own risk.

I love androgynous boys. Moto is so pretty, Sae is having a hard time resisting his deepest desire. He's going to be gay-for-Moto. And Moto will be gay-for-Sae. Awesome!

I also have a thing for body size difference for my Yaoi couples. I love it more if the uke is a touch more delicate and smaller frame than his seme.

Wish I could give it four stars but the action fight scenes kinda sucks. The artwork is real messy and confusing to read every time there's a fight in action. A huge minus here. Otherwise it's pretty entertaining.

It's like having a pet as a boyfriend. How cute. I really like how innocent and sweet Hakuyou is. Such and adorable character.

This manga series is filled with tragedies. So many people died.
